River Wilderness Golf and Country Club is a private, member-owned Club located in the Sarasota/Manatee County area. The Club borders the north shore of the historic Manatee River just off Interstate 75.  It is convenient to both Sarasota and Tampa Bay commercial, retail and entertainment areas, yet it is a secluded (gated with 24 hour guard) golf and boating community. The golf course, designed by Ted McAnlis, is situated on 150 acres of pristine landscape and is a part of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System which blends the property’s natural beauty with an abundance of wildlife.

The recently renovated 27,000 square foot Clubhouse boasts a myriad of activities to suit anyone's needs.  Art classes, card groups, and group trips are just some of the social amenities made available. Daily lunch and weekly dining, along with specialty theme events, provide ample dining experiences. 

The 3,800 square foot Athletic Center offers outstanding fitness, tennis and swimming programs that are geared to the beginner as well as the advanced athlete looking for a health lifestyle.
