RW Swimming Events River Wilderness Lynx Swim Team will begin its 8th season on May 1st.  The season runs until July 25.  Open for ages 5-18, swimmers must be able to swim 2 lengths of the River Wilderness pool.  The team usually practices 3 nights a week and competes in about 8 swim meets during the summer in Manatee County.  Swimmers will be taught all four competitive strokes, turns, diving, sportsmanship and good competition. River Wilderness will also offer Red Cross Group Swim Lessons during the summer break.  Mommy and me classes to Intermediate levels.  Classes are 5 straight days for 30 minutes.  There will be several evening sessions to chose from. And finally RW also offer private swim lessons for ages 6 months to adults year around weather permitting.  The cost for these lessons are $40 per half hour, for semi private and small groups please call for pricing.
